In other words, it is now more fair to everyone because you just need to be in the App Store rather than having to submit your app specifically to be considered.
Why not both methods? Hardly rocket science. This is a way to 'encourage' developers to list their apps.

Awesome, to make enough time for this lets just forget everything after the Great Depression because it's not like that junk matters as much as gays being persecuted. Seriously, the Holocaust and the Rape of Nanjing are totally trivial events compared to the Stonewall riots. We should totally drop coverage of the bombing of Pearl Harbor to make room for a lecture on how NAMBLA doesn't represent gays. Second: the fact that IDF didn't have any "octo" machines derives from the simple and obvious assessment that Apple does NOT have any "octo" machines. Anything else would be just illegal.
It'd be pretty easy to check actually, and really quite legal. The part of Mac OS X that actually implements SMP is the kernel, which is part of Darwin. You can install Darwin without fear of repurcusions, on your toaster, if you want.

I think lightroom is even slower?
esp when you do adjustment to photos like hue etc.
on my iMac, Aperture can render instantly, while lightroom obviously has pause. I know that's because aperture use graphic card, but why can't lightroom?

I really like Black Ops, having stopped playing MW2 when the expensive DLC started, I haven't played it in awhile. From what I do remember though, I think the changed made to the game are a big plus.
1. Quick scoping is a thing of the past, so the days of watching players run around a map with a sniper rifle going for short range kills is suicide.
2. Sniping is actually a skill now. One hit kills take work with a sniper rifle like they should. In past CoD's anyone thought they were a sniper ( myself included who improved his K/D ratio dramatically once I realized how easy it is to snipe in MW2 over say a game like Halo ), now we often have snipers who need 2 - 4 hits to make a kill. It isn't like Medal of Honor where you spawn die, spawn die, etc. etc. You can actually get on the playing field, or even out run snipers shooting at you. Cool!
3. The over powered perks are gone, and dual wielding shotguns with assault rifle range as well. No using scavenger to spam noobtubes! Although I do miss being to replenish my claymores. It's a worthy tradeoff though. :p
4. Noob tubes less prevalent, and opening spawn salvos haven't been discovered yet.
The thing that does kill the game is the latency/lag issues, at times they are game breaking. Like previous CoDs you've seen killcams where it shows you not firing or stabbing your killer, when on your screen you did. Now though I've seen final kill cams where the killer didn't seem to hit his victim at all. Knife whiffing is a common practice. Which has brought back the wonky knifing range, allowing those with lightweight to run thru a hail of bullets and instant knife kill you.
If you're curious to test this... On the map Villa if someone shoots at you from the main Villa, into the small sniping room. Notice if it is assault rifle fire, after you run from the gunfire thru thru window to the stairs, you are still being hit from gun fire as your reach the steps. You won't die, but it's frustrating to say the least. So the days of seemingly being hit from gunfire around corners is still around, if not a little worse. There's is bullet penetration ( Hardened ), but it doesn't account for bullets that make it around corners.
Lately I've run into countless games where connection interrupted shows up at the end of games, and even during. Nothing makes you want to throw your controller than getting the drop on someone, connection interrupted shows up on your screen, and when the game starts again you've died. On the other person's screen nothing happened, it just shows you looking at them and NOT firing. On the Treyarch forums some have attributed this to the games bandwidth interpretation, there is a way to look at how the game sees your bandwidth. Seems for many it sees your connection as being very low.
I've taken to changing my search so it only sees 'Locale Only', which helps a little.
The tip about putting 'Rapid Fire' on your gun really helps out if you find yourself constantly getting the wrong end of the drop like I do.

If they are on the move, this sometimes results into them literally running to where you spawn, giving them a cheap kill while you orient yourself. On the other hand, this does lead to one getting 'payback' kills more often.
I really do like the maps though, the sheer number of ( 14 )maps keeps repetition down. The amount of things going on while you are playing is cool, with the launching rocket shaking the bulk of the map, or the train shaking one end of the map, the target dummies moving about, or the underground areas increasing the size really makes them interesting.
Not a big fan of the single player, but I do like how it offers you a large assortment of the weapons so you can become familiar with them before multiplayer. The combat training is hilarious, naming bots after people on your friend's list. It isn't much help for playing online, but does allow you to try things out before spending money in the multiplayer.
A new update or patch will be welcome, and I look forward to playing the game despite it's problems. Good fun.

Uh, no... the iPhone 4 was called the iPhone 4 because it was the 4th version of the iPhone (not because it came after 3 in 3G). If the next iPhone is called the 4S, that'd be the 5th iPhone model. So the next one after that would be called the iPhone 6.
It would go:

iPhone 4S (or iPhone 5)

It is just stupid that they in the early years named the phones after features ( iPhone2="now we have 3G network" and iPhone3="now we have a faster phone with 3G network") and than suddenly switched to the generation number .... This is really confusing to many people (my favorite ones are the one that still claim that the iPhone 3G is the "iPhone third generation" ....)
I just hope they stick now with generation numbers and no more 'added feature suffix' .... so would the '4S' be for the bigger screen or for more speed ? - if they have both, would it be the iPhone 4SS ???) -> just bad naming schema.

Of course I like help Dejo and I know you have help a lot people, you have even helped me before this thread and I appreciate it a lot. I said that because so many seasoned developers just throw that bomb at newbies so often when they try to find answers in forums (not just this one), it happens not only in Programming but in many other professional environments, people just shoot to kill when some new guy makes a basic mistake, but luckily not all, some people do like to help (or enjoy) and have the patience to explain even the dumbest detail. But hey, it's cool.. We're all here to share and learn after all. I'll be glad to see you contribute to my threads, but you know.. that is up to you.

Count me into the group who is sick and tired of hearing about this crap.
I too love my iPhone 4, it being the best phone I have ever owned, and without a doubt having less dropped calls than my 3GS had. I had a handful of drops on the 3GS fairly often and on the 4 I've only had two since launch day. I'm also in a long distance relationship and we stay on the phone all night every night. I'm not kidding. :o
I can demo this "issue" but realistically it is not a problem for me. This phone is the best and I'm only slightly bummed that some people may miss out on a fantastic device due to this media hoopla.

I've pre-ordered the Prestige Edition pack on the PS3. It's already been shipped and I will get it on Monday or Tuesday, shame really, cause I cannot open it until Christmas Day!!!!! hahahaha, oh I shall have to be strong..... but I thinks it's a cool pressy. For those of you running Aperture on a Mac Pro, did you notice the new RAM requirement on http://www.apple.com/aperture/specs/? It says "2GB of RAM required for Mac Pro." I've been running Aperture just fine on my new Mac Pro with the standard 1GB of RAM. Like many new Mac Pro owners, I've been holding off on upgrading the RAM until it gets a little cheaper. The 1.5 update installer better not refuse to install on my Mac because of insufficient RAM; I'll be pretty upset if it does. :(

I have no idea what I'm talking about here, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's because of the quad cores. I suspect that each "set" of cores needs plenty of memory to stay fed and happy.

This will be the first time ever, regular people will stop waiting for their computer to work, even when using multiple applications.
Umm - sorry to destroy your illusion here, but Amiga made that possible already in 1985! This was thanks to true preemptive multitasking (while Classic MacOS sported cooperative multitasking only, up to OS9). No matter how big the workload and with several applications open at the same time an Amiga would react instantly to any user action!
Even today a 50MHz Amiga with 128Mb of Ram often feels a lot more responsive than a 2.000+MHz beast with 1GB of Ram in a "modern" computer. Granted - todays GUIs are more complex as well, but still...
So with the new era of multi-core machines the "rest of the (home)computerworld" will finally have come on par with what Amiga could offer more than 20 years ago already!

Best Buy does this all the time. I purchased a Samsung TV off their Web site for in-store sameday pickup last year, and took my receipt to my local store. They wouldn't give me the TV I already purchased because they were holding all of that model until Sunday because of their Sunday ad flyer. They had at least 10 of that model in stock on their store shelves.
They told me I could come back Sunday to pick it up. Naturally, I refused (this was like Tuesday), called Best Buy Online and had them refund my purchase. Then, purchased from Amazon.
I'll never purchase anything major from them again.
What a group of dolts. The local BBY told my friend that they did NOT take "reservations" I doubt if they will last much longer. Everyone is buying on line.

That's totally off point, read my post again, there's no need for HDCP over HDMI if you have a DRM that the studios have signed up to, looking at the sept 12th announcement apple have already got everybody on board, im hexpecting a video ipod, new MBP's and apple cleaning up on the HD content providing. As I said before it's the only HD platform that has a user base already in place with the required equipment, sony have loads of probs with supply issues on Blue Ray, no consumers are even close to buying PS3's or Blue Ray drives, no computers have these either therefore Apple can catch everyone out and release HD content through iTunes to a user base that already have the required equipment. oh yeah, 1080p is only certified via HDMI but most consumers are happy to accept 720p as "true" HD and the download times of 720p content over the net via broadband is not too much to ask. My 2 pence...
